We are huge dog lovers here at House to Haven and are always happy to welcome your four legged family members providing the following measures are adhered to: All well-behaved dogs are welcome inside the store but must be kept on a lead at all times. Water bowls can be found outside in front of the store for your convenience. We also offer Pooch Parking both inside and outside the store, where you can safely tie up your dog while you shop. House to Haven's mascot, Alfie the loveable Show Cocker Spaniel may be in store occasionally so if your dog isn't on the friendly side please let us know when you enter the store. Some children and adults may not share your passion for little Fido and may not appreciate your furry bundle of joy bounding over to say hello, so please be considerate to other customers and accept full responsibility for your pet whilst shopping.   • Eco-Friendly Packaging | House to Haven

    We seek to end packaging waste and its undesirable effects on the environment. We prioritise the use of recyclable packaging and try our best to find ethically sourced materials and even upcycle products. We are committed to help create an environmentally friendly haven. Our Packaging We’ve put a lot of love and thought into our packaging as well as our product collections. Something we're very passionate about here at House to Haven. It's important to us, that the packaging for our products aligns with what we stand for - an environmentally friendly haven. We seek to end packaging waste and its undesirable effects on the environment. We prioritise the use of recyclable packaging and try our best to find ethically sourced materials and even upcycle products. We are committed to only using necessary packaging and easily recycled materials wherever possible. Let's talk boxes All our parcel boxes are made of 100% biodegradable cardboard. We also try and reuse any boxes we have from our supplier orders or other companies. The outer packaging may not always look pretty but we hate to see them go to waste. Where possible we will use an eco-padded envelope or the smallest box possible for your order to reduce wasted packaging. To help reduce the amount of packaging we use, your click and collect and local orders won't be boxed but we'll use recycled bags to keep your order dry and COVID safe. What about the tape and string? We'll wrap your order with biodegradable hemp jute string to give it a special added touch when you open it. We also seal all our packages with brown Kraft recycled paper tape, a 100% biodegradable, compostable packaging tape. Even the tape’s adhesive is solvent-free and compostable. We love hearing from you Do you have any questions or thoughts on how we could better improve our packaging? Would you like to send your packaging back to us to reuse again? Just drop us a note anytime. We'd love to hear from you. Packaging materials? We want our parcels to look great but be kind to the environment at the same time. All the items we send are safely wrapped and padded using recycled paper, eco wood wool or corrugated cardboard. All of which are 100% recyclable and compostable. Your wood wool can also be safely used as a fire starter. You will not find any bubble wrap, polystyrene or foam peanuts round here! So, you can reuse, recycle or simply compost all our packaging. And the thank you cards? Our marketing materials such as business cards, thank you cards and stickers are all recyclable.   • Gift Card Terms and Conditions | House to Haven

    Our gift vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase. Acceptance of a House to Haven gift voucher constitutes acceptance of these terms. Gift Terms and Conditions Last updated: 17/11 /2023 These terms and conditions tell you about the legal terms and conditions which apply to the purchase and use of physical and digital House to Haven Gift Cards. 2. These gift card terms apply to pounds sterling (£) gift cards purchased online through the House to Haven Ltd website (www.housetohaven.co.uk ) as well as gift cards purchased at a stand-alone physical House to Haven UK branded store. 3. House to Haven reserves the right to update and change the terms and conditions of our House to Haven gift cards at any time. This does not affect your legal rights. Use of your House to Haven gift card constitutes acceptance of our Terms and Conditions and we therefore recommend you read them carefully. It is your responsibility to check these gift card terms from time to time to ensure you are aware of any changes which may have been made. House to Haven gift cards remain the property of House to Haven who maintains the right to cancel the card in its sole discretion in situations where it is deemed necessary to do so (such as to comply with applicable laws or as a result of circumstances beyond its control). 4. The value of your House to Haven gift card can be redeemed in any House to Haven Store in the UK or online at www.housetohaven.co.uk provided the gift card is redeemed within the redemption period applicable to the jurisdiction where the gift card was originally purchased. By way of example, a House to Haven gift card purchased in the UK shall have a redemption period of 24 months from the date of issue. 5. The gift card balance cannot be exchanged for cash or redeemed against the purchase of another card. 6. The maximum amount that an individual House to Haven gift card can hold is £200.00. For gift cards purchased online, House to Haven will provide you with specific denominations to choose from; in-store, you can select any amount to load on to your gift card. 7. You can Top-Up or perform a Balance enquiry at any House to Haven Store by taking your card to the till point. Validity 8. Your House to Haven gift card is valid for a period of 24 months from the date of activation (which for in-store shall be the date of the gift-card purchase, and for online, the date of dispatch of your order) following which they expire automatically. A gift card cannot be used after the expiry date and any remaining balance will be removed and the card will become invalid and no longer available for use. We have no obligation to remind or inform you of a gift card’s expiry and it is your sole responsibility to ensure that any balance is used in full prior to expiry. 9. A Gift Card expires automatically once its balance has been exhausted. A Gift Card may be topped up with additional funds provided the gift card is still valid and has not yet expired. 10. Gift Cards may be used to pay for the whole or any part of an in-store purchase or online order. 11. Only one gift card may be used per online order. In-store, there is no limit on the number of gift cards that may be used in one transaction. To transfer the balances from multiple gift cards onto a single gift card, please contact our Customer Service team. Lost / Stolen / Damaged 12. You are solely responsible for the safe keeping and security of your gift card following delivery. In cases where your House to Haven gift card is lost or stolen, House to Haven is unable to replace or reimburse the remaining balance on a card. House to Haven cannot be held responsible for the any balance lost on a House to Haven gift card as a result of theft or fraud. House to Haven cannot be held responsible for any unauthorised use where the card number has become known to another party. 13. Should your House to Haven gift card become damaged, House to Haven will be able to replace the card providing you still have the card in your possession and the necessary details can be obtained. Crediting a House to Haven Gift Card 14. Please retain an expired gift card should you wish to return your purchase. Any goods paid for using a gift card that are subsequently returned for a refund will be credited to the original gift card or in the event that you have discarded or misplaced your original card, issued on a new House to Haven gift card. For returns where part payment was taken from a gift card, the refund will be credited to your gift card in the first instance. 15. If a partial refund is made for any purchase using a House to Haven gift card and another method of payment, then any refund amount owing will be credited to the House to Haven gift card in the first instance. 16. If the total to be refunded is more than originally paid by House to Haven gift card, then any remaining refund balance will be refunded to the other method of payment used by you (i.e. debit/credit card or cash). Data Protection 17. Personal data relating to your purchase or use of a gift card will be used in accordance with current applicable data protection and privacy legislation and the our privacy policy which can be found at: www.housetohaven.co.uk/privacy-policy. Governing Law and Jurisdiction 18. These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Best place to park There's space on the high street to park but it's more easier to park on Court Road just by the Cranfield C of E Church or you can use the local Co-Op car park just down the road.     This year House to Haven will be supporting the Operation Christmas Child. Pop your Shoebox Under the Tree by 13th November 2022 Cranfield Christmas Shoebox Appeal This year House to Haven is supporting Operation Christmas Child. If you would like to contribute to this great cause please join us in hitting our 55 boxes target! All shoebox donations no matter how small are welcome! In 2021, a fantastic 25 shoeboxes were sent to children in Central Asia, this year we're aiming for 55 boxes! We'd love for you to join in and help bring a little Christmas cheer to a child this winter. Operation Christmas Child was founded in North Wales in 1990 as a way of sending gifts and supplies to children in Romanian orphanages. By 1993, the initiative had become so popular that it was taken on by the existing Christian charity, Samaritan’s Purse, which continues to run it today. The project sees schools, community groups and individuals pack practical gifts and toys into festively wrapped shoeboxes, which are then checked in warehouses and quarantined for COVID precautions, before being distributed to needy children worldwide. Last year, 1.3 million shoeboxes left the UK bound for children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease to 13 countries including Armenia, Romania, Kyrgyzstan, Mozambique and Swaziland. Boxes were also sent from Germany, Ireland and The Americas. How to Pack a Shoebox Step 1 - Find a Shoebox Find an empty medium sized shoebox Wrap the box and lid separately in colourful Christmas wrapping paper. Decide if your gift is for a boy or a girl and select an age category: 2-4 years 5-9 years 10-14 years Step 2- Fill with Gifts Fill your shoebox with a selection of fun toys, hygiene items and school supplies. If possible, include one or two extra special items you know a child will love such as a doll, cuddly toy or deflated football with pump. As always, I would like to say a huge thank you our customers, for your loyalty and support for our small local businesses at these exceptional times. We are continuing to have these measures in store to support our customers and colleagues when we can re-open. Social Distancing and Hygiene In Store Hand sanitisers are placed at the entrance for customers and colleagues to use. Our floors are marked in 2m sections with one way stickers indicating a safe zone in line with social distancing measures as well as directional floor markings to create a safe flow of movement around the store. A floor marking strip around the till point areas indicate a safe distance from others while waiting to pay and queuing. Where necessary, we will limit the flow of people coming into our stores to make sure they do not get too busy. We have protective screens at our checkouts to keep you and our team members safe. If possible, use card or contactless payments where our limit is £45.00 per transaction. All the above is subject to change in line with government policy. This year's Merry Little Cranfield Christmas Market will be help on Sunday 1st December 2024, 10am to 4pm. To find out how to apply for a stall or sponsorship please refer to the link below. Due to limited space the market will be held outdoors in the courtyard in front of House to Haven. In Winter months we will look to provide a large marquee or you may require to bring your own 2mx 2m tent. You will be notified of this closer to the event date. Will the market take place even on rainy days? The market will take place come rain or shine, unless it's deemed unsafe due to severe weather warnings, high winds, hail or snow. In time we will look to provide a roof covering or large marquee tent But do ensure to bring warm clothing and an umbrella incase the weather isn't too great. Do I need to provide my own table cloth/cover? Yes, if you'd like to decorate your table with a theme please bring your own table cloth. We do not provide table coverings. Are chairs provided? No, most traders find chairs are unnecessary as they like to stand and speak to customers however, you are welcome to bring your own if needed. Can I bring an additional table? No, due to the limited space only one 1.5m table is allocated to your pitch space. Is Electricity provided? No, we do not supply any electricity. What legal requirements do I need to trade? To trade you will be required to have Public Liability Insurance, up to 1 million pounds cover. In addition to any relevant certificates e.g. a food Hygiene Certificate if dealing with food or relevant certificates for your service/craft. A copy must be provided prior to the Market Day. How many traders can be behind one stall? Due to space we'd advise to limit this to 2 people per stall. Will I know where I will be positioned on the day? One of the below options will be offered to you: • Option 1 – table space only, please bring a maximum of one 2m (L) table. • Option 2 – 2m x 2m pitch space. You will need to bring your own 2m x 2m tent and tables to fit this space. • Option 3 – if you have a van/trailer/cart. A specific pitch location will be allocated to you. Please also bring your own table covering and banners/point of sale to promote your business. How much is a stall? Stall space is £25.00 per table and £30 at Christmas. This must be paid before the deadline date to secure your space. Is the market held indoors or outside? Due to limited space the market will be held outdoors in the courtyard in front of House to Haven. In Winter months we will look to provide a large marquee or you may require to bring your own 2mx 2m tent. You will be notified of this closer to the event date. Will the market take place even on rainy days? The market will take place come rain or shine, unless it's deemed unsafe due to severe weather warnings, high winds, hail or snow. In time we will look to provide a roof covering or large marquee tent But do ensure to bring warm clothing and an umbrella incase the weather isn't too great. Do I need to provide my own table cloth/cover? Yes, if you'd like to decorate your table with a theme please bring your own table cloth. We do not provide table coverings. Are chairs provided? No, most traders find chairs are unnecessary as they like to stand and speak to customers however, you are welcome to bring your own if needed. Can I bring an additional table? No, due to the limited space only one 1.5m table is allocated to your pitch space. Is Electricity provided? No, we do not supply any electricity. What legal requirements do I need to trade? To trade you will be required to have Public Liability Insurance, up to 1 million pounds cover. In addition to any relevant certificates e.g. a food Hygiene Certificate if dealing with food or relevant certificates for your service/craft. A copy must be provided prior to the Market Day.     We want to give our customers the most enjoyable shopping experience. That’s why we believe that our store policies should be fair, clear and transparent. Returns Policy Last updated: 01/11/2025 Returns & Exchange We’re sorry to hear you would like to return an item. This policy applies to all purchases made with House to Haven, whether in store or online. For the purposes of this policy, “item” refers to any product, whether digital or physical, including gift cards in digital or physical format. Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected. Please ensure you read all care instructions on a product page and any disclaimers regarding product variation due to the item’s organic nature. If an item is not cared for according to our guidelines or the manufacturer’s instructions, and the product is damaged as a result, House to Haven cannot be held responsible and will not issue a replacement or refund. 1. Eligibility for Returns To be eligible for a return or exchange, items must be unused, in the same condition as received, and returned in their original packaging. Proof of purchase is required, either as an online order confirmation or a printed store receipt. Digital products and e-gift cards are not eligible for return or exchange unless faulty. As these items cannot be physically returned, any faults will be assessed under your statutory rights according to the Consumer Rights Act 2015. 2. Unwanted Returns (Change of Mind) You are required to check all items upon receipt. Any returns must be reported within 14 working days. You may return unused, fully resalable items within 30 days from the date you take ownership of the goods. Items must be returned in their original packaging and in a condition suitable for resale. House to Haven reserves the right to refuse a refund if items are not returned in a resalable condition. The customer is responsible for the cost of returning items unless the item is faulty or damaged. Items returned outside the 30-day period will not be eligible for a refund or replacement. Postage charges for returned products are the responsibility of the purchaser and are non-refundable by House to Haven. We cannot be held responsible for goods lost in transit when using Collect+, Royal Mail, or any alternative postage service not arranged via our Customer Service Team. 3. Non-Returnable Items (Unwanted Returns) For reasons of hygiene, safety, or product integrity, the following categories cannot be returned for change of mind (unwanted returns): Washed or used textiles including bedding, cushions, and towels Door mats Candles, diffusers, and wax melts once used Products containing non-replaceable LED bulbs where the bulb has been used beyond its recommended lifespan Earrings and hair accessories These exclusions apply only to unwanted returns. All items remain eligible for return if faulty. 4. Large and Fragile Items Large or fragile items must be returned in their original packaging. House to Haven cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by inadequate packaging during return transit. We cannot arrange collection for items not returned in original packaging. 5. Faulty or Damaged Goods You are required to check all items upon receipt. Faulty or damaged goods must be reported within 14 working days, although this does not limit your statutory right to reject faulty goods within 30 days from the date you take ownership. Please contact hello@housetohaven.co.uk with photographic evidence of the fault or damage. If photographs cannot be provided, the item may need to be returned for inspection. If confirmed faulty, House to Haven will issue a replacement, repair, or refund. Reasonable costs for returning faulty goods will be refunded once the fault is confirmed. If a manufacturing fault is identified within six months of receipt, the item will be repaired, replaced, or refunded as required under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, unless House to Haven can demonstrate the fault arose from misuse or normal wear and tear. House to Haven is not responsible for damage caused by normal use, misuse, or failure to follow care instructions. 6. Processing of Returns Once a returned item is received, it will be inspected and processed. Please allow up to 10 working days from receipt at our store for completion. Refunds will be issued using the original method of payment where possible. A confirmation email will be sent once the refund has been processed. Items returned used, marked, scratched, or damaged due to insufficient packaging during return transit may not be eligible for a refund. In such cases, the item may be returned to you, or a partial credit note may be issued at House to Haven’s discretion. Sharpening Service Safety Procedure Policy This Safety Procedure Policy outlines how customers must handle and present items for sharpening to ensure a safe and responsible environment. We kindly ask all customers to follow this procedure when using the Ruff Edge Sharpening Service at House to Haven. Safe Transport of Knives and Sharp Items Customers must bring all knives and sharp tools in a secure protective case or container. Items can also be wrapped safely in a thick cloth to prevent accidental injury during transit. Where possible we recommend travelling by car rather than walking with sharp items in public spaces. Arrival and Hand Over When you arrive at the shop please hand your items directly to a member of staff. They will handle and store your items safely before they are taken away by Ruff Edge for sharpening. Condition of Items Customers are responsible for ensuring their items are clean and free from food/dirt residue before drop off. Items that are excessively dirty, rusted or damaged may be refused for safety reasons. Right to Refuse Service Ruff Edge Sharpening and House to Haven reserve the right to refuse any item that is unsafe to handle or unsuitable for sharpening. This includes items that fall outside the accepted list of tools. Prices and Payment All prices and payments are handled directly with Ruff Edge Sharpening. House to Haven does not take responsibility for any payments or financial transactions. All payment related communication will be between the customer and Ruff Edge Sharpening. Quality of Work All sharpening work is carried out by Ruff Edge Sharpening. House to Haven is not responsible for the quality of work, workmanship concerns or any issues arising from the sharpening process. Any queries or complaints relating to the work must be raised directly with RuffEdge Sharpening directly. Liability for Damage Every effort will be made to handle items with care. Ruff Edge Sharpening cannot accept liability for pre existing faults, structural weaknesses or damage caused by age, corrosion or poor manufacture. If an item is at risk of breaking during sharpening the team may stop work and notify the customer. Customer Declaration By leaving an item for sharpening the customer confirms they are the legal owner of the item and that the item is permitted under UK law. Items that are unlawful to possess or carry in public will not be accepted under any circumstances. Safe Storage All items will be stored securely while on site and during transfer. Collection of Items All items will be safely wrapped after sharpening. Customers collecting their items must remain in the designated waiting area so the team can return items in a controlled and safe manner. Age Requirement Customers must be at least 18 years old to drop off or collect knives for sharpening. Proof of age may be required. Please bring valid identification if asked. Collection Deadline Items should be collected within the agreed time frame. Uncollected items may be securely held for a reasonable period before a further arrangement is required. This prevents prolonged storage of sharp tools on the premises.
